Onteora Council Troop

There's no reason for you to miss out on all the fun just because your troop isn't going to Onteora Scout Reservation, or because other summer plans mean you won’t be able to go to camp with your troop. Scouts who wish to go to camp can attend as part of the camp's Council (provisional) Troop. Many scouts take advantage of the Council Troop to spend additional weeks at camp before or after their week with the troop.

The Council Troop is just like your troop at home, except that your leaders will be members of the camp staff and your troop-mates will come from many troops. You will have the opportunity to meet new people and develop new friendships. It's a great way to finish merit badges you didn't get to do your first week or try another program.

Take me to your Leader!

A member of the camp staff acts as the full-time Council Troop Scoutmaster. Just like your own Scoutmaster, this individual will help make sure you have a safe and fun summer camp experience.
