TUSCARORA

A tribe of the Iroquois Confederacy (the Six Nations).  Their name means "shirt wearers". The Tuscarora, Iroquoian speakers, inhabited the Carolina coastal plains. They were northeast of the Catawba and east of the Secotan, each part of the Southeastern tribes
