DULL KNIFE

Also know as Tamela Pashme, a chief of the Northern Cheyennes.  He was one of the leaders in the Battle of the Little Big Horn.  The story of how Wahiev (Morning Star) got the name Dull Knife is an interesting one.  He fought a battle against a Sioux warrior that had a tough buffalo hide shield.  Wahiev's knife could not pierce the tough hide.  From that day on, the Sioux called him Tamela Pashme - Dull Knife.
