Alumni & Service Groups
If you would like to stay in touch with Scouting, network with fellow Scouts & Scouters, participate in service projects, and help deliver robust programs to the youth of Nassau County, consider joining one of our alumni or service groups.
National Eagle Scout Association (NESA)
The National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) helps Eagle Scouts stay in touch with Scouting and hear positive stories about how Scouting transforms the lives of youth through developing their leadership skills, character, citizenship, and physical fitness. The Association offers alumni networking, service opportunities, and educational scholarships for Eagles Scouts.
Onteora Alumni Association (OAA)
The Onteora Alumni Association (OAA) was established to support and promote camping at Onteora Scout Reservation, the Theodore Roosevelt Council's beloved camp property located along the Adirondack trail in the heart of the Catskills. Generations of Scouts, Scouters, and camp staff members have fond memories of their time spent at the “Land in the Sky.” Through membership in the OAA, you can reconnect with others with a deep appreciation for Onteora and help enhance and maintain the property for future generations to enjoy.
Sagamore Service Troop
The Sagamore Service Troop is unique to the Theodore Roosevelt Council and has continued as a brotherhood of trained Scouters, dedicated to lifetime service to Scouting. Members known fondly as "Sagamores" are "Prepared For Service" in a variety of Scout skills, staff training courses, demonstrating their specialties at roundtables and in units, and serving as merit badge counselors. They support many aspects of the local Scouting program and provide countless hours of volunteer service to maintain Council properties and camps.
Wauwepex Society
The Wauwepex Society was established in 2005 to support and promote camping at John M. Schiff Scout Reservation, the Theodore Roosevelt Council's beloved camp property located in the Long Island Pine Barrens. Through membership in the Wauwepex Society, you can meet current Scouts, Scouters and their families, reconnect with fellow camp alumni, as well as help enhance and maintain the property for future generations to enjoy.
