Jay Garee is Scout executive/CEO of the Theodore Roosevelt Council, Boy Scouts of America. During his 18-year career in scouting, Garee has consistently taken an active role in defining and implementing changes that have led to improvements and greater efficiencies in the delivery of scouting programs.
Prior to joining the Theodore Roosevelt Council in January 2012, Garee was Scout executive/CEO of the Mohegan Council, Boy Scouts of America in Worcester, Massachusetts for six years. Under his vision and leadership, the council achieved greater financial stability, improved marketing strategies, significant improvements to camping facilities and services, and increased donor support. Garee also held executive positions with the Boston Minuteman Council in Massachusetts and the Finger Lakes Council in New York.
He is a recipient of the Worcester Business Journal's 40 Under 40, past president and Paul Harris Fellow of the Worcester Rotary Club, a Vigil Honor Member and holds the rank of Eagle Scout.
Garee holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Penn State University.
