The BSA Physical Fitness Award is designed to heighten fitness awareness and to help change the lifestyles of American youth and adults to improve the quality of their lives.

SERVICE

Emergency Preparedness BSA

The emergencies of today's world demand more than ever that our young people and adults be trained as individuals and as units to meet emergency situations. This program fosters skills in our youth and adult members so that they can participate effectively in this crucial service to their families, communities, and nation.

Lifesaving or Meritorious Action Awards

Recognition may be given to a member of the Boy Scouts of America when he or she saved or attempted to save life under circumstances that indicate heroism and risk of his or her own life.

Venturing Advisor Award of Merit Nomination

One of the unique attributes of the Venturing program is the relationship between Venturers and the crew Advisor. The ability to work effectively with young adults as they themselves plan and run the program is a true test of leadership skills. The Venturing Advisor Award of Merit recognizes crew Advisors for tenure, training, and quality crew program.

Venturing Leadership Award Recommendation

The Venturing Leadership Award is presented by councils, areas/regions, and the BSA National Council to Venturers and adults who have made exceptional contributions to Venturing and who exemplify the Venturing Code.

William T. Hornaday Awards

The Young American Award

Each year, this award is given to young adults who have been provided exemplary service to their community, state, or country.

SOCIAL

Religious Emblems

To encourage members to grow stronger in their faith, religious groups have developed religious emblems programs.
