Commissioner College - November 18 at Molloy College Suffolk Campus

The College of Commissioner Science offers commissioners an opportunity to continue their training beyond the position specific training for commissioners.  This training opportunity will benefit both new and experienced field and administrative commissioners. This college will be hosted by the Suffolk County Council with assistance from the Theodore Roosevelt Council and Greater New York Councils at the Molloy College Suffolk campus on Rt. 110 in Farmingdale next to Republic Airport.  The College is scheduled for November 18 from 8 am to 5 pm.  

There are five tracks for new and experienced participants: 

  • Bachelor of Commissioner Science - UNIT SERVICE track
  • Bachelor of Commissioner Science - ROUNDTABLE SERVICE track
  • Master of Commissioner Science - Specific programs for new or current Assistant District Commissioners
  • Doctorate of Commissioner Science - Advance studies in unit service
  • Continuing Education - Courses to enhance unit service for field and administrative commissioners

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Thomas Bain, our Area 2 Commissioner, will speak about the changing opportunities and challenges for enhanced unit service in our councils. 

Registration is $ 45 for participants and $ 15 for staff; on-line registration is available at Link.  Deadline for registration is November 11; no walk-ins please.
