The Dr. Manuel Green Scout Museum

The Dr. Manuel Green Scout Museum located at the Theodore Roosevelt Council office is open from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday (except holidays).  Admission is free and special guided tours are available by appointment.

The museum is always looking for donations of any type of Scouting memorabilia to feature in its exhibits.  The museum rotates the items it displays on a periodic basis and items such as patches, uniforms, neckerchiefs, books, mugs and the like are most needed.

In addition, any paper items such as newspapers, photographs, record books or any other historical material are also greatly needed.

For additional information, to donate items, or to schedule a guided tour, please call either the Scout Service Center at (516) 797-7600 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or the museum’s curator, Irwin Green directly any time before 10:00 p.m. at (516) 781-1890, e-mail at:  poppyscout@cs.com or Michael B. Green, Esq. at museum@computorney.com.
