Our first Council Commissioner established over 150 national parks and more that 50 preserves during his presidency, resulting in the preservation of more than  230 million acres of "forever wild".  From its founding in 1910, the Boy Scouts of America have used conservation to teach America's youth about responsibility, legacy, and leadership .  The links on the right will connect to pages describing conservation  and nature activities that units and individuals can incorporate into their program.
