The 2009 theme was Cinco de Mayo - the Battle of Puebla

Scouts learn what is needed to go from the planning stages of their Eagle project through its completion, their board of review and their Eagle Court of Honor. Eagle Scouts on the Onteora staff will teach and share their experiences from their own Path to Eagle !

Scouts will be able to either earn or start eagle required merit badges. A total of fifteen (15) different Eagle required merit badges will be offered at camp.

There are preparatory presentations in the morning:

  •  what to expect during the process for application,
  •  filling out the Eagle packet,  
  •  planning your project and reviewing personal leadership methods 
  •  preparing for the Board of Review
  •  planning your own court of honor.

Pre-camp briefings for registered participants will be held May 13, 2010 and July 8, 2010 from 7:30PM - 9:00 PM at the parish hall at St. Paul R.C. Church - Brookville.  Course goals and preparation for camp will be reviewed by the unit leadership.

All scouts attending Path to Eagle Camp:

Must be a Star or Life Scout and at least 14 years old

They must have their Scoutmaster's signature of approval and the participant evaluation completed by the Scoutmaster

Their scoutmaster's approval for all merit badges they wish to take; all cards must be approved and signed  with  a date before or by the registration deadline and submitted with the application
