From Long Island

NYS Thruway Route

Take the Cross Island Parkway north to either the Whitestone or Throgs Neck Bridge;

Pay toll and follow signs to the Cross Bronx Expressway (CBE) westbound to the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87) exit north;

Follow the Major Deegan Expressway north, which becomes the NYS Thruway at the NYC line;

Follow the NYS Thruway to NY Route 17 west at exit 16; (note - Woodbury Commons, a major shopping outlet complex is the exit immediately after entering Route 17)

Follow NY Route 17 to exit 96, Livingston Manor;

Turn left from the exit ramp onto DeBruce Road;

Follow DeBruce Road about 2.2 miles to Grooville Road and make a left (there is a sign for OSR);

Follow Grooville Road about 4.5 miles to the entrance to the camp.  Bear left at the camp sign, go past the ranger's house, and follow the dirt road down to the main parking lot - there is a 10MPH speed limit in camp.. Check-in at the Administration Bldg.

Avoid the NYS Thruway

Take the Cross Island Parkway north to either the Whitestone or Throgs Neck Bridge;

Pay toll and follow signs to the Cross Bronx Expressway (CBE) westbound;

Go westbound on the CBE to the George Washington Bridge; cross the bridge and exit onto the Palisades Parkway:

Go north on the Palisades Parkway about 30 miles to US Route 6;

Go west on US Route 6 about 12 miles to NY Route 17 west (future I-86);

Follow NY Route 17 to exit 96, Livingston Manor;

Turn left from the exit ramp onto DeBruce Road;

Follow DeBruce Road about 2.2 miles to Grooville Road and make a left (there is a sign for OSR);

Follow Grooville Road about 4.5 miles to the entrance to the camp.  Bear left at the camp sign, go past the ranger's house, and follow the dirt road down to the main parking lot - there is a 10MPH speed limit in camp.. Check-in at the Administration Bldg.

Alt. Route Thru Westchester

Take the Cross Island Parkway north to the Whitestone  Bridge; follow the signs to the Hutchinson River Parkway north;

Follow the Hutchinson River Parkway north about 8 miles to the Cross County Parkway and exit westbound;

Go west on the Cross County Parkway to the NYS Thruway (I-87) and exit northbound onto the Thruway:

Follow the NYS Thruway to NY Route 17 west at exit 16; (note - Woodbury Commons, a major shopping outlet complex is the exit immediately after entering Route 17)

Follow NY Route 17 to exit 96, Livingston Manor;

From New Jersey and points south

From southern or mid-New Jersey on the Garden State Parkway

GSP to end;

Bear left to NYS Thruway;

Get off at Exit 16 (Harriman) onto NY Route 17/I-86

 Follow NY Route 17/I-86 to exit 96, Livingston Manor

Follow DeBruce Road about 2.2 miles to Grooville Road and make a left (there is a sign for OSR)

Follow Grooville Road about 4.5 miles to the entrance to the camp. 

Bear left at the camp sign, go past the ranger's house, and follow the dirt road down to the main parking lot - there is a 10MPH speed limit in camp.. Check-in at the Administration Bldg

From New England and points northeast

Use I-90 or I-84 to NYS Thruway

Go south on NYs Thruway to Exit 16 (Harriman);

Get off at Exit 16 (Harriman) onto NY Route 17/I-86

 Follow NY Route 17/I-86 to exit 96, Livingston Manor

Follow DeBruce Road about 2.2 miles to Grooville Road and make a left (there is a sign for OSR)

Follow Grooville Road about 4.5 miles to the entrance to the camp.

From Western and Northern NY and points north/west

Use I-81 or I-88 to I-81 to NY17/I-86

Get off at exit onto NY Route 17/I-86 going east toward New York City

Follow NY Route 17/I-86 to exit 96, Livingston Manor

Turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto White Roe Lake Rd.

Follow White Roe Lake Road to the end and turn left onto Grooville Rd.

Follow Grooville Road about 2.5 miles to the entrance to the camp. 

Bear left at the camp sign, go past the ranger's house, and follow the dirt road down to the main parking lot - there is a 10MPH speed limit in camp.. Check-in at the Administration Bldg

Bus Schedule from Port Authority Terminal

Go to the Coach USA/Short Line Schedule - Bus schedule to Livingston Manor.  Hike to camp about 7 miles.
