Muttontown Preserve Re-opens for Camping

The Muttontown Preserve has reached out to the Theodore Roosevelt Council to inform us that a new campsite is available for tent camping.

During SuperStorm Sandy Muttontown Preserve lost it's main campsite, and after some work Chris Anderson has informed me that a new site is available.  Chris is our contact at Muttontown Preserve and he asked that I share the procedure with anyone interested in using the site.

Your unit will need a permit to camp at Muttontown Preserve, but Chris is only at the Preserve Tuesday and Sunday.  Please leave a message for Chris two to three weeks prior to the weekend desired, in order for Chris to secure the permit for your unit.

If you are interested in reserving a camping space at Muttontown Preserve please leave a message for Chris Anderson at 516-571-8500.
