Gone Home - Howard Bauman

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Howard Bauman on Tuesday, September 29.

Please keep Howard Bauman's family in your thoughts and prayers, during this difficult time. As more information becomes available we will share with our Scouting family.

Howard Bauman served as the Scoutmaster, Committee Chairman, and Chartered Organization representative for Troop 10.  This past Sunday, September 27, Troop 10 celebrated it's 100th Anniversary, and Howard was there to be a part of the festivities.

Prayer for Fallen Scouts:

Almighty Father, as we grieve the loss of these leaders, help us to remember their involvement with Scouting.  Show us how they lived the Scout oath and law.  We ask that you comfort us as we will miss their friendship and fellowship.

What does "Gone Home" mean.

The use of "Gone Home" in Scouting refers to the trail sign meaning "all is well, I am safe, and have gone home."  It was first used at Baden Powell's gravesite in Kenya upon his passing.
