Scouting activities suspended through April 30th

Dear Scouting Family,

We hope all our families and volunteers are safe and faring well during this challenging time.

With 2,869 confirmed cases of Coronavirus currently in Nassau County, the health and safety of all our members, volunteers, and employees remains our utmost priority. Keeping this in mind, Council Leadership has decided to suspend all (in-person) Scouting activities through April 30th. This suspension includes all Council, District, and Unit Meetings/Outings/Campouts.

During this uncertain time, the spirit of Scouting is needed now more than ever. Remember to Do a Good Turn Daily and practice the Scout law. Find ways to put your helpfulness, friendliness, kindness, cheerfulness, and braveness out into the world.

We urge everyone to keep the mission of Scouting going and encourage all Dens and Patrols to meet digitally.

We'd also like to hear from you--let us know what your unit is doing to continue Scouting. Send your stories to and we will share ideas in our next communication.

We'll continue to stay in touch and thank all our dedicated families and volunteers for your continued support.

Yours in Scouting,

Andy Johns         Chris Coscia              Pete Shields
