How does a Troop Operate?  What is my role in my unit & Scouting?  How do I become a leader in my troop?  Where can I get trained and more info?  How can I learn skills, awards, merit badges  rank?  Where can I go to have fun?  We are offering all those new to Scouts, Venturing & Sea Scouts the opportunity to get all of these questions answered and more…

Feb. 1 – 3, 2019 at Schiff Scout Reservation, Wading River, NY

This program is designed for new youth or adult in a new or existing unit.

Youthwill become trained in Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST), Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crew (ILSC) and Introduction to Leadership for Ships (ILSS).  

Adultscan attend Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training and Troop Committee Training.  

Youth & Adults:Participate in hands-on demos in outdoor skills and program opportunities. Fun, Games, Campfire with skits, songs & S’mores!

Requirements: Must be a registered member of BSA and over 18 must have completed the current Youth Protection training.

Fee:$10 includes cabin accommodations, all meals, training materials and program.  Oh and yes, there will be a patch!
