2017 Council Golf Outing
33rd ANNUAL CHARITABLE GOLF CLASSIC Theodore Roosevelt Council - Boy Scouts of America
The Golf Classic, now in it’s thirty-third year, is one of the premier golf tournaments on Long Island. To date, nearly $2,000,000 has been raised by this fine event, which has helped bring Scouting to over 10,000 young men and women each year.
Over 3,700 adult volunteers in 275 Cub Scout Packs. Boy Scout Troops, Venturing Crews and earning for Life groups serve the youth of Nassau County. Last summer over 1,500 Boy Scouts camped at Onteora Scout Reservation in the Catskill Mountains and over 1,800 Cub Scouts had an outdoor experience at Schiff Scout Reservation, on the east end of Long Island.
The Theodore Roosevelt Council uses the Scouting program including outdoor experiences, to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
